Accommodation
Participants are expected to book their own accommodation. Sendai has a range of hotels within easy reach of the venue. FAMBI 2026 will be held at the Auditorium, Building 2, Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, in Sendai, Japan. Below is information to help you arrange accommodation during the workshop.
Recommended Areas
Near Sendai Station (JR / subway): Convenient for travel to and from the city. Many hotels and restaurants are within walking distance of the station. The campus is accessible by public transport (e.g., Loople Sendai bus or subway + bus).
Near Katahira (campus area): Closer to the venue. Suitable if you prefer to stay within a short commute to the IMR building.
Hotels
Sendai offers a range of business and city hotels. We recommend booking early, as November can be busy. You may search for accommodation near Sendai Station or Katahira (Tohoku University area) depending on your preference.
